faithful readers, you may know that I post fashion related bike stuff at velo vogue, in addition to what you see here at Wheelright. Below is a post that i made for VV but thought I should share here too:
meet Susie!
today, the first sunday streets of the year opened the embarcadero for a six hour celebration of glorious car free public space. Susie was my favorite person of the day, a new commuting cyclist and attorney whose firm reimbursed her for her new ride. yay, for employer supported cycling! Decked out in red boots, houndstooth wool, and a union jack helmet, Susie is style.

Ramona for Bike Drawings
Ever since I found the blog, Bike Drawings a few weeks ago, I've been excited about sending in a submission. I've been doodling bikes for years, amongst other things like anthropomorphic animals. So rather than sketch up something new, I started thumbing through some old notebooks and voila, Look Ma No Hands. My art is usually a bit dark and cynical, can you tell? So here's your wheelright preview, let's see if this ends up on the site. :)

the taco bike on serious eats
thanks to a special friend (u know who you are, ms. g) i started using the google reader to keep track of all my favorite blogs. I recently added serious eats to my feed after finding this nice recipe for Red Braised Turkey Gizzards and just when I was thinking I should remove serious eats because they post more content than my brain can process, i came across a feature on the taco bike. bikes and food are two of my favorite things (I also like basura). I've decided there is serious value in serious eats, so it stays. Taco bike sound and look familiar? Yes it does, you've seen me on this bike before. Read full TacoBike post here.

Change Your Life - Ride a Bike!
this gorgeous photo from anglomex was shot at a war museum in london and is a part of the, now defunct, berlin wall. It, of course, reminds me of the sf based, collaborative blog change your life ride a bike, which is designed to inspire. and that it does. I wouldn't be putting anything down here if it wasn't for the power that I get from knowing I am not alone in my passion for smart transport, aka cycling. gracias ladies.

Chicks and Bikes
Lately I've been thinking about what kind of bike blog I want to be. Thinking too much is no good, sometimes you've just got to act. So here's to one of my favorites. Chicks and Bikes, all pics nothing else. Special thanks to Chain Thug and Captain Crank for their beautiful montage of ladies with wheels. Visit often.
